Christopher C. Sorley, B.A., LL.B.
Christopher C. Sorley graduated with a B.A. in Law (Honours) in 1986. He then went on to graduate from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1989
and was called to the Bar in 1991.
Mr. Sorley restricts his practice to all aspects of matrimonial law, wills and estates with an emphasis on the potentially complicated property issues associated with any matrimonial breakdown.
Mr. Sorley is a life-long Aurora resident and previously served as a member of Aurora Town
Council. Mr. Sorley is currently Chair of the Ontario Legal Aid Area Appeal Committee and a
former Director of the Aurora Chamber of Commerce and former member of the
Attorney General’s policy advisory committee.

Katherine
A. Still, B.A., LL.B.
Katherine
A. Still graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours B.A.,
after which she attended the University of Windsor Law School. She was called to the bar in 1987.
Ms. Still’s practice focuses on all
areas of family law, such as custody, access, separation agreements,
divorce and adoption. As a
panel member for the Office of the Children’s Lawyer since 1989, she is
well-known in the community for her compassionate legal representation of
children in both custody and access disputes and in child welfare matters.
Formerly, Ms. Still was the Vice President of the York Region Law Association, a
member of the Ontario Legal Aid Plan Area Committee, and Chairperson of
the Family Law Committee of the York Region Law Association. She has two young and active children with whom she enjoys spending
time.

Erin De Winne, LL.B.
Erin De Winne attended York University and graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1999. She was called to the Bar of Ontario in February 2001.
Ms. De Winne's practice comprises all areas of family law, with a focus on contested custody and access, separation agreements and divorces. Ms.
De Winne is also a current panel member for the Office of the Children's Lawyer.
Ms. De Winne is certified to practise collaborative family law. The goal of the Collaborative process is to resolve all issues relating to separation and divorce in a non-adversarial manner, without going to court. Collaborative law assists spouses in reaching mutually acceptable solutions through constructive problem solving, while reducing conflict and maintaining good faith negotiations.
Ms. De Winne is a life-long resident of York Region and enjoys being involved in the community. She is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Yellow Brick House and a member of the York Region Law Association. |

Tanya Cianfarani, B.A., LL.B.
Tanya Cianfarani graduated from York University in 1999 with an Honours B.A. in Political Science and Law & Society. She obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2002 and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2003.
Ms. Cianfarani’s practice focuses primarily on negotiating and litigating all aspects of family law. She also practises in the area of wills and estates. Ms. Cianfarani accepts Legal Aid Certificates, and she is eager to use her knowledge and expertise to help you with your
matter.

Ian D. Sweet, CD. B.A., LL.B.
Ian Sweet retired in 2003 from the Canadian Forces where he was a Health Care
Administrator. During his military career, he graduated from Saint Mary’s
University in Halifax with a B.A. in Political Science. After retirement, he attended Dalhousie Law School in Halifax, graduating in
2006 and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2007.
Mr. Sweet is a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, the Defense Medical Association,
and the United States Marine Corps League. He holds the rank of Major in the
Canadian Forces Health Services Reserve.
Mr. Sweet accepts Legal Aid. He is also available
for an initial consultation for a flat rate of $100 plus GST
up to one hour. |

Jennifer J. Lau, B.A. (Hons), LL.B.
Student-at-Law
Jennifer Lau grew up in the Richmond Hill area and
graduated from the University of Waterloo with an Honours B.A. in Political
Science in 2004. She later attended Dalhousie Law School in
Halifax, graduating in 2007, and will be called to the Bar of Ontario in
2008.
While at Dalhousie, Ms. Lau was a member of the Gale Cup
Moot Competition Team, the Dalhousie Trial Advocacy Team and received a
clerkship with the Hon. Justice LeBlanc of the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia.
Ms. Lau is able to take
on any of your litigious matters, whether that small claims action or the
fight with your neighbour, at her low rate of $110.00
plus GST
per hour while still
